Vecor Wins Gold at Edison Awards 2020

The Edison Awards winners were announced on March 25 2020. Vecor's Systema LeonardoTM was awarded Gold in Energy & Sustainability: Sustainable Solutions

Systema Leonardo is a production process that is able to produce a high-quality building material without equal. The porcelain-like material that it produces is significantly stronger and more durable than the most stringent international standards for porcelain tiles.

The process also has a substantially reduced environmental footprint, saving up to 70% virgin raw materials by using recycled fly ash as a primary material. It also uses 80% less water and 15% less energy, the primary factor for this saving is the removal of wet-ball milling and spray drying.

Among the nomination entries comprising the best products, services, and businesses in innovation,  Systema LeonardoTM was chosen as a winner by a panel of over 3,000 leading business executives from around the world.

After a thorough review, the Edison Awards Judges recognize Systema LeonardoTM as a game-changing innovation standing out among the best new products and services launched in their category,” said Frank Bonafilia, Executive Director of the Edison Awards.
